Re: L-GDT April 30 Game 5 Nashville in Vancouver 7PM PST SPAC
A number of posters seeing more positives in Pettersson’s game than me. He is a shell of his former self, and has been a complete non factor all series. If he was half the player he was 4 months ago, this series would be over. Thank god for Lindholm. Hronek has been the least effect defensman all se...

Re: GDT April 30 Game 5 Nashville in Vancouver 7PM PST SPAC
Time for the teams’ best effort of the series. Big guns step up and set the tone, lesser lights contribute. Vans gotta score first and dictate the play, while the energy of the arena keeps the Preds on their heels. Forecheck hard, disrupt their breakout, clog the neutral zone and force them to dump ...

Re: Rebooted hockey discussion thread 23-24
What is Vans dead cap next year? 2.5-2.7% of their total budget? The following year it goes up to $4.8, which will likely still fall below 5% of the total budget.
Anyone care to look up what every teams dead cap amount is and compare?

Re: Rebooted hockey discussion thread 23-24
Utah season ticket deposits top 20,000. Not sure if it’s been mentioned here yet, but finally getting hockey out of Arizona (deep, deep red) and into an actual money making situation should have a real impact on how much the cap goes up for 25/26. If the cap goes up $4mil this summer, another $4-6 n...

I wouldn’t challenge that either.
Tocc played that wisely, IMO. May have earned a little good faith from the officials.

Not a bad first. Some nerves for sure, especially with the forwards.
D moving the puck up well, don’t seem to be pressured too much.
Demko looks sharp
Need more shots on net.

Re: Rebooted Abby Talk- April, May
Thanks for all your efforts this season Megs.
Abby finishes off the stretch strong. Pretty exciting for Abby fans.
Nice to see young guys Bains, Karlsson and Sasson have a strong season. Two effective goalies in Tolo and Sheloves.
Go Canucks!

Re: Rebooted Abby Talk- April, May
Nice work Megs.
With Abby being such a young team, having Wolanin, Stevens and Dries there is imperative for any level of success come playoffs and next year. Wolanin is locked in for next season, but Dries is a UFA. Hopefully he can be brought back.

Re: We're All Doomed!™ (the Conquest, War, Famine, and Death Thread)
Iran also seized a ship in the Gulf the same day. Boarding the ship by repelling from helicopters. It is believed Saudi did more than close their airspace. US and British planes also took part in downing the Iranian invasion. Iran is becoming increasing isolated by their action. Time for the US to ...

Re: We're All Doomed!™ (the Conquest, War, Famine, and Death Thread)
So the US intercepts intel last week that Iran is planning an attack on Israel. Some 300 or so missiles launched from Iran yesterday, and word out of Israel is most were shot down. Jordan had fighter jets shooting them down, whilst Saudi Arabia closed their air space. Bidan advised Ben last night th...

Re: Temporary hockey discussion thread
Tocc has them playing an extremely demanding style of play. Not necessarily crash and bang, but constant skating, head on a swivel with constant precise positioning. It results in a highly supportive and responsible team game, but requires little margin for error and both physical and mental fatigue...

Re: Temporary hockey discussion thread
Good stuff Wids/Tops.
How refreshing is it to be discussing this stuff in April, rather than willing the team to lose to gain a higher lottery ranking?
The first round should be a doozy.
Good times
