Re: Post season wrap up.

Silovs looks good in tight, but he struggles with shots from distance and tips. Would hate to give up on him this early and see him blossom elsewhere. Let Clark work the Cloutier out of his game as a back-up for a couple seasons and see what he becomes. Then, when Demko’s contract is nearly up for r...

Re: Past Canuck Players

OEL sucked when Tocchet was his coach in Arizona and Vancouver.
The way he is playing doesn’t reflect well on the coach. Must be a personality clash?
Tocchet will be flipping off the TV when he watches him lifting the cup.

Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas

Not at all confident locking in 9+ million for a small, 29 year old skilled winger who has only sometimes been a point per game player while being on Crosby’s wing is a great idea. Reminds me of the hype when they signed Eriksson to play with the Sedins, or traded Neely to get Barry Pederson. Hopefu...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 23-24 Playoff Edition

It begs the question, if Edmonton loses the finals and has a riot like that, will anyone notice?

R or L?
Tall and Left to pacify the crowd when they don’t re-sign big Zed.
The pick follows up on the Canucks long history of huge, left-handed, power-house, game changing defensemen, you know … Zadorov, ummm… Tryamkin, McAlister, Murzyn, Cullimore….ummm…. maybe others?

The Canucks are taking Ashton, Luke, 6′6″ 231 Defenseman, Langley, BCHL - Book it!

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Josh Bloom had a fantastic memorial cup final, scoring three points and the game winner. I’m projecting he develops along the same path at noted Connor McDavid junior shutdown star Cole Cassels.

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

The Canucks currently have over 23 million in cap space. According to Cap Friendly, Philly has about 0.5 million. They are in the biggest cap crunch in the league, but you know there are lots of teams wanting to sign FAs that will be dying to move out cap space and willing to give up good players to...

Re: Post season wrap up.

The Canucks get by the Oilers with Tanev instead of Cole. The Canucks didn’t go in enough IMHO.

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

One good thing is that it shouldn’t be too difficult to attract FAs with the improved team results, active and respected team management, and a very good coaching staff. Many players will prefer playing for this team over many others. I think the management will make a few reasonable offers and stic...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 23-24 Playoff Edition

I won’t write off Pettersson yet. I remember people saying Yserman and Sakic would never lead their teams to cups when they were young…until they did. Something has been wrong with Petey since the all-star game. Don’t know if it was physical or mental. He did not do well in these playoffs. He starte...

Re: Post season wrap up.

Liked big Zed but it’d be a mistake to think he will consistently play like he did in the playoffs. He’s a very good third pairing asshole. But you can’t pay him the 6x6 he is asking. Dillon from the Jets on a short deal at 3.5m will bring nearly just as much. Or bring Chatfield back to Vancouver. Z...

Need a game breaker or two - not easy to find.
Team looks just like Travis Green’s fall back and defend teams.
