Carolina up 2-0 halfway through the 3rd period.
Game started off on a great playoff note as Staal and Tkachuk dropped the mitts 2 seconds after the puck dropped. Setting the tone for a bitter series.

My first look at Myers in Dallas sees him take a careless penalty that cost his team the opening goal on the ensuing PP.
I blame Carl for enabling
His second shift after the penalty, he leaves his man alone on the backside for a tap in but McKaren luckily fucks it up

4-3!
BUF over BOS
MTL over TB in OT
Rooting for a COL sweep over LA, so they can address a replacement for their retiring 1C. Hmmm... who is available?

Slafkovsky reminding folks that he was a 1OA pick. A good example of why having those kinds of guys - potential star without having to be a McDavid/Matthews - is key for teams.

Habs took a bit to get going. Only 8 shots through 2 periods (3 of them coming in the dying minutes of the 2nd). But they looked poised, not scrambling a ton. Could be a great series.
The only series that I think is going to be a walk in the park is Colorado/LA.
Refs are horrible though so far. So many lame calls. The high sticking call on Guhle was lame as fuck. Hagel picks him and gets the arm up for interference, and his interference directly causes the high stick. I can't remember who he caught, but the whistle should have been blown immediately because Tampa had the puck, the whistle should have negated the high stick which then occurred outside of the course of play.
A few of the high sticks in the Colorado/LA game were similar. Sticks being forced up by contact.
