L-GDT: UHC @ VAN - 5PM PST, SN
Weird schedule continues.
Coach was unhappy about the lack of response on the Chytil hit. Do the boys try to take it out on Utah? Or use the point as an excuse to tune him out?
Lots of OT played by these two teams. Likely headed there again.
Ingram in players assistance still, Vajmelka going for 10 straight starts. Lanks goes for Van.
3-2 OT Van.

It's about time. Utah/Phoenix has been picking at the top of the draft for 15 years. They have gobs of cap space and they have a guy like Guenther as a bonus for foisting a boat anchor like OEL on a rube pretending to be a GM.
4 - 1 Canucks
Pettersson x 2
Quinn
Joshua
Lawson Crouse
- he likes what he sees and after the season he politely asks the Grubby Mormons to trade him to Vancouver where his old favorite coach is employed, for a young D man, a roster forward and a future pick. Barring that take Josh Doan off their hands. They can't keep all these wingers.

This is a good test for us. The Utah’s are a team to reckon with. Cooley is hella player, I’m probably taking him over Bedard in first captain second pick. Bedard needs to figure out how to avoid becoming the second coming of Trevor Zegras cause that’s where he is heading and well on his way. Barrett Hayton has made substantial gains in his development, he’s coming around.

With Chytil out, I’d like to see them try sliding Joshua into the middle and go with:
DeBrusk Joshua Garland <- taking defensive zone faceoffs
Hog Petey Lekkerimäki (or Karlsson) <- taking offensive zone faceoffs
O’Connor Suter Boeser
Aman Blueger Sherwood
Joshua is skating better now, plays well defensively and he used to be a centre in lower leagues.
When he’s out with Garland, they may be able to go out against most top lines as a solid shutdown line and score some, too.

Cooley is a nice young player. He is also insulated. Macklin has some insulation. Bedard has fuck all surrounding him. At least Foligno and Fat Balloon will insulate the kid physically. He needs someone to play with. Not surprised to see you pick an American. After all they won a Best on Best 29 years ago. Hayton was drafted seven years ago. Its about time. Shane Wright is also looking good. Imagine that. He's five years younger than Hayton.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 3:19 pm This is a good test for us. The Utah’s are a team to reckon with. Just win. And beat the faggoty Jets next. I don't ask for much.

I’m just not digging Bedard’s game right now, he looks lazy and unwilling to put out that extra second effort to make room for himself. I think he expects it to be easy for him out there. Quinn Hughes and Befard are roughly the same size but Hughes puts in the effort to separate himself from defenders. Bedard is just a little too lazy in effort for my liking. Think he needs a head adjustment the same way Zegras does. I think he’ll get there but last nights game only proved he still has a long way to go.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 3:53 pmCooley is a nice young player. He is also insulated. The boys aren’t exactly playing sharp here. When Quinn was wheeling behind the Utah net, you could see he was waiting to feed Petey cruising in front but was just off.

Sluggish 1st - Utah is a fast team, always gives Van issues.
Good thing Van can defend and PK. Hopefully get some good looks, or lucky bounces in the 2nd.
3rd is going to be hang on to your hat time and hope Lankinen is sharp.
