Any discussion on what went down between Pettersson and Miller? Hopefully this wasn't the reason that Miller took the leave.
Still waiting for someone to fill me in on what a sock is?

Nobody knows exactly what went on.
It has been discussed to death.
Consensus is that Pettersson is soft pouter and Miller a moody asshole…..and that Blobcat blames Benning.
Oh, and please take the time to at least spell a player’s name right if you are going to put it in the thread’s title…..asking for Donny, he’s a neurotic spelling and grammar policeman.

Also, HW lost her source within the Orca Bay circle, so we are completely in the dark here. All we got is Rick Daliwahl’s 3,000 possibilities to work with.

A sock is when a poster already on the board opens another account with a different screen name on the same board.
Most typically, the second, or "sock" account acts as a hypeman for original account, but motives vary.
I think the name is a shortening of "sock puppet", with the second account being a puppet (or maybe ventriloquist dummy) for the original account.
The practice is considered bad form, at least on this board, and I think the moderators try to shut down such accounts when they detect them.

True, we don't allow sock accounts here at the Corner.
The reverse was true when we were posting at Central (very unusual).
MrG is not a sock...

Finally, now I understand what a sock is. I wonder why someone would think that about me? There is always people on forums who just think that number of posts are important. You don't necessarily have to be relevant just having 2,000 posts is "cool" for some reason. So anybody new, call them a sock and you get another post for your cool total,

My current working theory is that Miller and Pettersson get along okay, but the Tocchet/Peter working relationship can use some, well, some work.
I'm thinking lately that Ricky might wind up the fall guy here.
