NBC SPORTS: San Jose Sharks icons Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau were photographed Monday with retired defenseman Christian Ehrhoff at the Sharks practice facility. The unrestricted free agents are working out in hopes of returning for another NHL season.
I heard the workout finished up just in time for jello at the 3:30 sitting. (hi Tops) :)

If the Canucks plan to do something like this with Goldobin, I hope they do better than a 4th.
I’ll take the over on that.

I'd be happy with a 3rd for Goldobin. Ideally, he figures his shit out, and becomes a 2nd line winger, potting 20 goals a year. But, unless he has a gang-buster pre-season, I'll take that 3rd.

Patrik Laine ‘prepared for anything’ with future in Winnipeg uncertain

LAHTI, Finland — Patrik Laine says contract talks with the Winnipeg Jets have been non-existent all summer and he isn’t sure what it means for his future with the team.
As one of several prominent NHL restricted free agents still without a new deal, the sniper is currently entering the late stages of summer training under a cloud of uncertainty. Speaking before the Finnish Alumni All-Star Game about an hour north of Helsinki, Laine told Sportsnet that he’s confident he’ll be playing "somewhere" next season.

He just doesn’t know if that somewhere will be Winnipeg.

Would need to be a significant add from the Jets

With the emphasis on significant.

Laine probably comes in under 10 so the add is the extra 3 mill in space (equal to 3 goals by 7 million Williom)

Marner is a much better player than Laine is, or ever will be.

I just dont see any team in their right mind paying anything for a dude that they could more than likely have for free off waivers between preseason and maybe the first twenty games. And even if this isnt the case, is his value more than a 7th round pick or a bag of pucks at this point? Not to mention he isnt even signed yet.

A little harsh Dennis. Even with the oft shitty play of him and the team since we acquired him, his value. IMO, has gone up.
No, you wont get very much at the moment but if he looks good in preseason;, note; preseason is exactly where a Goldobin
style player will look great, I still say he brings no less than a 3rd.
He may still win a contract and a spot in the organization. They've seen enough to qualify.
He's a nifty player when he's got his thinking cap on. So's Jake. What a sucky post; like vomit. Sorry.
