There's a couple of posters who seem to be much more studied on the war than I am so curious to learn their thoughts, but I wonder what does the US do when seeing Ukraine striking up deals to repay Euro countries for their contributions to the war while Trump and Vance had $$$ in their pocket before the disaster in the Oval Office?

Not to mention Ukraine reaching out to China to take the place of the US?...

The rest of the free world has gotten the memo and are now starting to distance themselves from him.

There are some loans that have been made available to Ukraine, but that’s a minor part. Almost all the money and weapons they receive from Europe is gifted. No strings attached. It can also be mentioned that Europe has provided about 50% more than the US in total aid. When it comes to weapons, they have given more or less the same as the USA. We don’t see it as something that should be paid back. We are investing in a free and safe Europe, which Ukraine is and should be a part of. If Putin isn't stopped in Ukraine, we will soon have to fight him in Sweden. Denmark has sent them all their artillery. Howitzers, ammunition, everything. Now, Denmark is a small country, but still. And they can probably be protected by Swedish and German artillery, should the Russians come.

Also, please note there are no bags of money going there. At least 80 percent of what the USA has given to Ukraine has been paid to American companies, who deliver weapon systems to Ukraine, and in doing so employ American workers. The Ukrainian government is cash strapped, but the EU has stepped in to help pay the salaries for piblic servants and pensions to the retired. European aid is roughly half military, half financial and humanitarian. The US aid is almost completely military aid. Which is good, because we don’t not have the same stockpiles in Europe, so we have a hard time delivering what Ukraine needs while simultaneously strengthening our own defence.
