The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

The unelected bureacracy, the permanent state, the blob. Check out Bill Kristol, he's a deep state mandarin. He father is the founder of the neoconservative movement and he's declaring war. Buckle up
Ok, I used to think the deep state referred to people behind the scenes working illuminati-like to control world events. But it seems now that it's come to mean the average federal government employee. It's hard to keep track.
Like USAID, every department will have a share of problems, but having Musk and his Jr techbros run rampant isn't the way to fix problems (in my opinion). Things are going to get broken, and unlike the tech work motto of "move fast and break stuff", people's lives and livelihoods are hanging in the balance, vs a piece of software.

I'm not familiar with the illumati version Corn, I gotta be honest. There is a whole ecosytem of think tanks, ngos, government agencies like US AID, it's a huge enterprise with tentacles all over the world. They just recently attempted to stage a coup in Georgia fior example. I don't know that much about them but I'm well familiar with their handiwork. It is astonishing to me that an elected president is even attampting to take them on. Fucking intweresting times.
They might have "shelved" USAID, but given the Empire's history, this is just another diversion. It will get replaced secretly with something else because I just can't imagine the powers that be just giving up to reflect within and stop meddling in other's affairs and causing chaos in the world where it's the working class' livelihoods that get threatened.
An un-elected Musk granted the powers that he's been given is downright scary for "democracy". When everyone saw the billionaire class exposed at Trump's inauguration plus the deep-state warhawks assembled in his cabinet, you know there's only a uni-party and it's business as usual.
If you're still convinced it's Dems vs Republicans and one side is better than the other... well, good luck to you.
I think there are bigger, more powerful forces than Elon Musk and the tech bros behind these moves. I think some of the shadow oligarchs we never see must be blessing these changes. The tech billionaires are just what is visible.

The United States Postal Service announced Tuesday night that it is temporarily suspending accepting packages sent from China and Hong Kong until further notice.
The suspension is effective immediately, the USPS said. Letters and flats are not included in the suspension, it said.
The postal service did not provide a reason for the suspension or say how long it expects the suspension to last.
More bullshit..... fuck these people. Just making it up as they go along.

The fact remains that these clowns don't have the clearance, or knowledge to fuck around with a database(s) like this.

What? How the fuck are the American people going to have anything? Everything is manufactured and comes from there.
You know you're getting royally fucked over by your own government (I'm including Canada) when 3rd world countries start feeling bad for you.

Some believe that applying tariffs is the perogative of the US congress and that Canada and Mexico would likely challenge this in US courts and quite possibly win.
Except for the concern for sensitive personal information, there is also concern that Musk's minions may be accessing federal contracts with companies in the car, tech and space industry that are competitors to Musk, and that these contracts may contain classified information about those companies.
