Re: Coaching Search - Candidates/Discussion and Predictions
JR already admitted as much just now on SN650. Considering moving D for forward help. PA already taken plenty of calls with interest in our young D.
Will happen, just a matter of when and how (me saying this). Just hope this group is able to drive up prices, start bidding wars, etc.. While good top 6 talent is hard to find and acquire, so too are young D with high potential. Drive up the market.

It will be refreshing to see a coach last more than two years for a change. Still trying to get over the junk-punch from Tocchet leaving. Not so much that I love the guy so much for him to stay (honestly could care less who's coach), but just the massive statement it made on the state of the franchise and where it might be going. Seems there's something really fucked and hopeless. Or, I really hope it was just a matter of him dreaming of coaching where his heart is in Philly and simply could not pass up the opportunity. Coaching jobs are so volatile, hard to get and even harder to keep. It's gotta take something major for a guy to just walk and leave a job without being pushed out. Can't be good for karma. Tho worked out well for Paul Maurice I suppose.
This is an underrated reason why we should hope he doesn't get traded. ELC value is as good as gold. I honestly don't believe he will get traded, but given the desperation for multiple good top-6 pieces I can totally see management caving in and include Willander as part of a package they can't turn down. A Faber/Fiala-esque deal. Kings threw in their 1st as well. I really hope we don't do something like this but can absolutely see it happening. Btw, can't help but see the parallels of where the Kings were when they made the trade to where we are now...gaping holes in the top-6 with abundance of blueline prospects.

I think he is restricted. I am also not allowed to post on the Wiebo forum. Wiebo gets his own area to ant and rave and then he bales. Hopefully he isn't buried in some coal mine in the middle of Bumfuck nowhere. .Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 2:14 pm Do you still wear a CC ankle bracelet and are banned from watching porn or owning firearms?

Chef lost all privileges to Creepers just to keep the conservatives happy. Chef’s free spirited ways ain’t welcome in Weibo World.

My take 2 coaches and Yogi will get consideration. It will largely be up to Foote. He said that have a robust list to work from but haven’t had a chance to sit down and discuss thoroughly.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 2:41 pmI still see Yogi as listed as an Assistant Coach - by hiring two more, does that mean he gets replaced? Or they going with 3 assistants like they have previously, and Gonch as a what-ever he is?Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 2:29 pm
He did say they will be hiring two assistant coaches. One offensive and one defensive. Perhaps they go for a little more coaching experience there. Overall I think it is the right move as we are still a developing team in a lot of respects but one that should be able to compete for the playoffs.
The only HW the Canucks need

It’s Topper, he needs his space. Too bad we are all getting cranky the older we get. Donald The Orange and the trucker convoy has created a lot of ex-friends, unfortunately. Chef, if it's any consolation, it's pretty dead in there now. It was just Blob and The Cisco Kid keeping it going last I checked.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 10:38 pm Chef lost all privileges to Creepers just to keep the conservatives happy. Chef had countless warnings and yet he continued to crap all over the place
... provoking the first forum ban in CC history.
He was making an ass of himself and a mess of the forum.
If he had any class he would admit this is true.
I suppose he would have been outright banned if he weren't such a long-timer.
Now, back on topic please.

Kypreos was on D&D offering his two cents today. He thinks it came down to money; Mr Aquilini wasn't willing to "buck up."

On the other hand, tapping out of the Tocchet derby did free up the Schedule A bonus money to sign Willander.

Kyper seems chipper.
But every time I see him I recall that image of him unconscious on the ice in a growing pool of blood.
I had the impression Canucks offered a similar contract as the Flyers.
I guess not, or D&D would have said something there?

Supposedly, they got up into the 4 million atmosphere but the thin air was starting to make Mr Aquilini nauseous, so they couldn't go any higher.Strangelove wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 4:45 pm Kyper seems chipper.

The Flyers signed him at $5x5.
