Saw this on instagram:

” Someone should tell Trump that arresting Putin in Alaska and delivering him in shackles to The Hague would be the quickest way to end the war in Ukraine and win a Nobel Peace Prize.”

:D

Actually a great idea! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Chef Boi RD wrote: Wed Aug 13, 2025 8:31 pm Russia and China are planning a two pronged war event against the states. China will make like Japan at Pearl Harbour by coming in after Russia and the States start nuking each other. It will put the final coffin in the US of A.

Putin and China will divide up control of North America.
China doesn’t want a war with the west. They’re just waiting for Russia to fail so they can annex Siberia without anyone putting up any resistance. There are only 30 million people in Siberia, but it is roughly the size of China, has lots of natural resources and borders China, which lacks many natural resources but has 1.4 billion inhabitants. It is only a matter of time.

Russia is in its death throes. They have their nukes, sure, but that is all they have.

Back in the 1950’s the Soviet Union was a superpower. They were the third most populous country, after China and India, and they were a top five economy. They also had the second strongest army in the world.

Russia today is in a shambles. They only have 144 million people. Less than half of the 340 million in the USA. And apart from India, China and the US, today Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Brazil and Bangladesh also have larger populations than them. Ethiopia will pass them within three years, as they are only 8 million people behind but add 3 million people per year while Russia loses roughly 800 million per year as they more or less have stopped having children.

Their gdp has dropped and they are no longer in the top ten. They are now behind countries like Italy, Brazil and Canada and within the next few years both Mexico and South Korea will almost certainly also pass them.

Russia doesn’t produce anything of interest to the outside world other than oil and gas, and as more and more countries phase out fossil fuels that industry is soon going to be obsolete.

They still have a lot of weapons and a large army, but they have now shown that they can’t even beat Ukraine, a country with only a third of their population and unprepared for being attacked. Sure, they have managed to occupy 20% of the Ukrainian territory, but everyone thought they would win that war within a month. Now it has gone on for three years and Ukraine is still standing tall.

Now imagine how that incompetent army would fare trying to attack the USA… :look:

This is their last hurrah. We shouldn’t give them any concessions, just let them finish themselves off.

They rank fourth in the world in purchasing power parity Per.

We've been through this before.

As far as not conquering Ukraine in three years, Ukraine is now working on its third army, and it exists at the pleasure of the USA and its allies, not just for weaponry, intelligence, and technical expertise to operate the advanced weapons, but to pay the salaries of civil servants, pensions, and everything. It is a reanimated corpse of a country that, if left to its own devices would have been defeated two years ago. Meanwhile, the US spent twenty years in the mountains of Afghanistan fighting goat herders with Kalashnikovs to a stalemate. I don't think the comparison flatters the Americans, frankly.

As far as them sailing across the oceans to attack America, why would they ever attempt such a thing? Of course, it would fail, but perhaps they could install nuclear weapons in, say, Cuba. I wonder how the Americans would react...

I've been thinking this for the past few days myself. He would make one hell of a hostage.

To prevent a new ambush in the white house a whole bunch of European leaders are accompanying Zelensky to his meeting with Trump.
The German chancellor Merz, the Italian and British prime ministers (Meloni and Starmer) and the French and Finnish presidents (Macron and Stubb). The presidents of the European Commission (von der Leyen) and NATO (Rügge) will also attend.

They have all also made it clear beforehand that the transfer of territory by the means of violence can never be accepted and that any peace treaty must respect Ukraine's sovereignty (including the right to sign treaties with whomever they please) and territorial integrity.

Could get interesting. :D

Meloni is quite tiny, and it seems they always sit next to eachother at international meetings.
Kind of odd given that he is a liberal and she runs a reformed fascist party. But I guess they have chemistry.
Given how slender Macron is, it is hard to understand how he can block her from view completely though.
Damn, she must be small. :look:

This is what happens when you marry your high school teacher.
It's all fun and games when you're 18 and she's 42, but time is brutal.
