WPG trades rights to K. Hayes to PHI for a 5th
The Jets gave up Brendan Lemieux and a 1st-rounder for Kevin Hayes and now they dump him for a 5th rounder. Talk about piss poor asset management. Just wow.
They paid the going rate for a legit top 6 forward at the deadline. I don’t think they ever envisioned re upping him.
Didn’t do them any goos
I didn’t say it was a good trade. It was a steep price but that’s what the prices are when you go after a solid youngish top 6 forward or top 4 d man at the deadline

Apparently Calgary is shopping Hamonic.
I wonder if they will get a lottery pick and two 2nd round picks for him?
Apparently him and Brodie are being shopped, to make room for cheaper D-men in their system to help offset the $10.2 million they gotta pay the Turtle

Brodie I can see but Hamonic plays with balls. Why would they trade him? They need a goalie and not too much else. A little more speed up front too wouldn't hurt.

Weird
They want to move to Atlanta.
Oh, sorry; that's been tried twice.
Reno? Ya that''ll work.
Did you know: Atlanta is still on the short list as being a viable option for an NHL franchise.

Why would anyone want to move an NHL team to Brazil?
I mean, there was an ancient city called Atalanta in classical Macedonia, the precursor to Greece, but that city is gone.
The Italian football team, Atalanta BC, is located in Bergamo and is named after the Greek godess Atalanta. It's not a place.
According to @imseanavery Nazem Kadri has been traded to the Winnipeg Jets for Jacob Trouba
Watch the video, "insider" Sean Avery has been 'drinking like a chunky little balding moderator on a message board otherwise known as Doc Devito.
Lmao, just what Leaves need, more salary!
And of course, only in a dumass Leaves fan's mind is Nazi worth Trouba...
For the less fortunate among you: No, this trade never happened and never will.

So Karlsson prefers to return to Ottawa or sign in Montreal and is hoping they will field competitive offers. His wife wants to move back to the Ottawa area. If i’m SJ I trade his rights to one of those teams for something. Maybe plus a conditional if he signs.

Johnathan Dahlen reportedly unhappy in North America and is set to sign back in Sweden. His contract would not have an out clause so his return back to North America could be 2-3 years. Apparently Benning was aware of this possibility and it was part of the reasoning in trading him, get something for nothing. His position seems to be NHL or Sweden.
Maybe Benning knew what he was doing.

Laine’s Opening demand 10M x 8 years, or trade me. Intends to look over the market as an RFA if he doesn’t get his ask.

Unreal. He's never even hit the 80 point mark, has only notched 40 goals once, and now he's coming off a 50 point season where he finished a minus-24 and his demand is $10M???
He definitely wants out of Winnipeg. The Jets should find a sign and trade partner and get a massive haul.
