I think Trump is going to have to take Svalbard from Norway as well then. What we used to call Spitsbergen. 1200 miles from Greenland.

Funny how so many of the other elites are buying waterfront property in places like Maui. It leads one to believe they don't buy their own bullshit.

I've wondered for a long time what would happen when the chase for arctic resources really started to gain steam. Canada isn't really strong enough to defend it's large section of it and all it seemed it would take would be for someone like Trump to come along and try to move in on it. I'm constantly surprised by the things that I have ended up actually living to see, and it looks like this could be another one of those things.

I don't think we can enforce our sovereignty, especially in the Arctic, without a much closer alliance with the USA. I'm not suggesting joining the USA, but I would be willing to go as far as becoming a protectorate of the USA, such as the Marshall Islands, for example.
