Yep, autostart hooked up to nat gas is the way to go. You can apparently get one with propane option as well in case it all goes to shit but my installer dissuaded me ... don't recall the convo.
I don't think the islands have gas
Yeah I guess not. I suppose Donny will have a rather large and beautiful propane tank next to his dream home. Maybe he can paint it camo.
Ill come out there and paint it like a big giant Oscar Myer Weiner if he allows it
Add a couple of large pink beach balls to complete it.

Small town/hick town living is dead and dying. Terrible environment to retire to. The cutbacks are only going to get worst cause governments are going broke and will be forced to shut civil services and support in communities with a small population base, it’s already happening. It’s all heading to beehive living centred around metropolitan centres. The populated centres will get top priority in government budgets over providing expensive services for Jed and Jethro living out in the sticks. It’s a numbers game, pecking order.
What a completely uniformed, ignorant view. People are moving to smaller towns and rural settings in droves. Do you even think before you post shit.

This house is 10 years old.
It was built by two OCD retired Engineers.
They did everything to set it up right but did not take advantage of all the bells and whistles themselves.
I.e. it is fully set up for security throughout c/w several camera locations outside pre-wired.
It is also wired at the top of the driveway...long ass driveway....for an auto gate should I choose to install one.
The Generator and propane tank have a pre-built pre-arranged locale out of site out of mind.
Paint 'em whatever fucking color you want Cackles.
I'll never see them....
P.S. I have in hand a full construction manual, original drawings, the name, number, email addy and location of every contractor involved in the build, photos from day 1 through move in, every receipt and manual and maintemace paperwork for every little thing in the house.
They have had annual maintenance on everything and just put a new HWT in last year because they're anal as fuck.
I also have 2 years of dry wood in a lean to shed for the fireplace.
I got majorly lucky with this find.
Shit like this never happens.

Paint targets on it..
Propane trucks need double tanks so they can also suck out the septic as they refill the home propane supply

Yeah...we got lucky.
Figured it would take up to a year or need a larger than desired reno to get what we wanted.
This thing fell in our lap.

We a are running expensive emergency rooms among other essential services in small towns so Jethro can take a piss outside on his 700 acres, FFS.
Speaking as someone who spends a fair amount of time in and out of the emergency rooms in these small towns, the people utilizing the services are NOT the demographic that you are describing. It is primarily First Nations and people under 30. The under 30 crowd are indistinguishable from their metro dwelling counterparts.
Interfaciltiy patient transfer? Again, largely First Nations who allegedly don’t have family capable of getting them to or from appointments. I say allegedly because the family often has the means, they just don’t want to be bothered.

Anyone following the latest squabble in Trumpland between Loomer and Musk, and which side do you fall on?
Loomer wants Trump to close the border and cancel he H-1B Visa program like he promised, whereas Musk thinks that program is critical to America's future.
There's a lot more to this, including Musk calling traditional MAGA, "contemptible fools" that needed to be rooted out of the party.
Interested to hear a take from those on the right.

Hmmmm, maybe Chef needs to adjust his attitude toward Elon Musk. There maybe hope within the Neanderthal party.

Musk wants the brightest best and hardest working. Fed up with the "not in my job description" crowd. He is also looking at competition in the labour pool to manage wage escalation.
Nothing wrong with any of that. It returns to the ideals of an educated and mobile workforce.
No different than when dental assistants were in short supply and their wages were escalating, dentist's got together and funded expansion of dental hygienist schools to drive wages back down.
He is wanting what Canada once had in our immigration before it was loosened up by our current absentee government.
I keep waiting for him to tackle student loan programs and return them to the original Kennedy program. They started out as loans to science and engineering field to fuel the space race, it was when they were expanded to the Arts that things really feel apart.

So yesterday Trump came out in favor of the H1B program. Round 1 goes to Musk.
Agreed, in theory it's good policy for the nation to support the US's continued leadership in tech, but let's be honest here, the main beneficiaries are billionaires like Musk, Bezos, and Zuckerberg, who will pocket more cash. For ordinary Americans it means more competition for the same jobs or possibly being displaced by a lower paid similarly skilled H1B worker, which is what Bannon and Loomer are on about. As Bannon pointed out, the program is prone to abuse by companies looking to reduce cost by outsourcing. Disney firing 250 workers and replacing them with H1B Visa holders is a prime example.
All this is hardly surprising given that Musk is looking for value for his $250M campaign contribution, just like he did during the Continuing Resolution debate (no significant pork barrel items removed but restrictions on investment in China quietly dropped, to Musk's benefit).
Loomer may be a bit of a nutcase, but she is speaking skillfully about what the MAGA base voted for in Trump. The perception is that Trump is selling out to the tech billionaires, but who knows how long the plight of the American white collar tech worker holds the attention of the MAGA base with mass deportations on the horizon.
