Yeah they are off the reservation. I can see retards like mathowny, Pauser, MS behaving like that. Tantalum and EPC should know better.

For all the lumps I give Elmer he has been fine for 24 months now. His previous 30 months were amateur hour for sure but he seems to have learned on the job. Kudos to whoever pushed the reset button in early 2017.

I get the feeling that it took 30 months to convince ownership to go with the rebuild. They clearly wanted the playoff revenue before that and, I think, his hands were tied to a degree because of that.

According to rumors, your buddy Gillis' name is being bandied about as a candidate for Oilers GM. He's been desperately trying to get back into a front office position for awhile.

Word though is he's really interested in the position in Seattle.
I heard that Seattle rumor as well.

Let’s be clear, Mike Gillis is interested in the Seattle job. The Seattle group is mining the field of many candidates. Mike has been out of hockey for half a decade. He’s not Bobby Fisher “oh Mike please come back soon and grace us all with your greatness”
Hey Trump, I’m ANTIFA.

I want him in Edmonton. Kassian, Reider and Petrovic could all use full No Movement Clauses. :D :D

After the mess Chiarelli left in his wake, put MG in Edmonton and he actually will look like a great GM even if all they ever manage is a trip to the 2nd round.

In all seriousness though, Edmonton is actually a very good fit for MG. He doesn't have to draft a new core and rebuild, he just needs to surround McDavid, Draisaitl, and RNH, with reliable help up front, and then find one legit top pair D man and a goalie. It's a little more than what he had to do in Vancouver, but all he really needs to do in Edmonton is turn the organization into a players destination, which he did in Van, and he will get talent to arrive.....it's a bit of a field of dreams spot right now. Gillis also never rushed any of our young players, so that is another thing that would turn things around for Edmonton.

GMMG might actually be a very good fit in Coiltown for the next 3-5 years.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

None of the other GMs wanted to deal with him. If that holds true still he won't be a good GM anywhere.
The only HW the Canucks need

No no...we need an edmonton gm to continue continuously move out valuable assets for nothing. Chia has been fantastic for us in that regard

I’m not sure I buy that. He made plenty of trades with lots of different GMs. Some good, some meh and some bad.

The biggest thing why he may struggle to get another gig is because he is very arrogant. That and he never proved to be a good drafter/developer

He wasnt blackballed until later in his tenure. He really does come across as a prick and when you watch those things where all the gms meet theyre all buddies. I bet they didnt like him

With the boatload of underlings MG had to delegate all tasks to, just what did he do?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
