I didn't say that I never went to discos - but it doesn't mean I liked the music. A "sequined onesie" - wow. You've come a long way from then - living in rural Alberta now. Bet you still put on the sequined onesie once in a while when you've smoked some weed and have Saturday Night Fever blaring in the background. :D :drink:

Yoodles in his sequined onesie be like Elvis sitting on the toilet, with his thingy in one hand and a peanut butter banana sammich in the other while Bee Gees muzak is blaring. Stroking to the beat.

Yeah, well, most of the people killed by covid-19 are elderly. The median age of those who have died from it in Sweden is 86. 90% of those that have died were over 70, 69% were older than 80. Only 1% younger than 50.

Then again, that 1% amounts to 57 people who died in their prime from the disease.

And it sucks when old people die too.

Winnipeg Jets legend Dale Hawerchuk dies at 57 after battle with cancer

Dale Hawerchuk, a hockey phenom who became the face of the Winnipeg Jets en route to the Hall of Fame, has died at the age of 57 after a battle with cancer.

The Ontario Hockey League’s Barrie Colts, a team Hawerchuk coached, confirmed the death on Twitter on Tuesday.

"After an incredibly brave and difficult battle with cancer, our dad has passed away. My family is so proud of him and the way he fought. #HawerchukStrong," Eric Hawerchuk, one of Dale’s sons, wrote on Twitter.

A teenage star, Hawerchuk was drafted first overall by the Jets in 1981. He went on to play nine seasons in Winnipeg and five in Buffalo before finishing up his distinguished 16-year NHL career with stints in St. Louis and Philadelphia.

Hawerchuk recorded 518 goals and 1,409 points in 1,188 regular-season games (he added 30 more goals and 99 assists in 97 playoff games).

"A low-maintenance superstar," said Craig Heisinger, Winnipeg’s senior vice-president and director of hockey operations.
