Benn isn’t trending well. Good player but the asking price would be bloated set to yesterday’s Benn.
He turns 30 this July. He makes $9.5 million until the end of season 2014-25. Ouch. A big ouch in a couple years

Loui turns 34 a day before Benn turns 30. Let’s see how Benn’s 10 million per year looks in 3-4 years. He’s not trending well. If I was Dallas I’d move that future boat anchor contract out now otherwise they are looking at a Seabrook, Ladd, Alzner situation in a couple years. Washed up BC hockey players with terrible contracts

Eriksson and Benn play a different game. Eriksson plays a smart defensive game. When he does not score, he can still help the team defensively.

I wouldn't do that either! Face facts; Benn doesn't fit our new age group, not really. His best days are already behind him anyways.
