I agree they need talent at every position, so it’s better to take chances on the tougher position to fill (dmen) when the opportunity presents itself, unless you think it’s easy to get top 4 dmen, which you just might. Most wingers peak at 24, obviously not all but you know what you got in a winger sooner than most other positions.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 7:44 amDo all wingers peak and decline earlier than D men or just top line wingers? So if there is a draft that has d men near the top just take them regardless ?? Like Erik Gudbranson or Cam Barker?Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 5:07 pm
Top line wingers are easy to get in the draft, they’re easy to predict and peak and decline earlier than dmen, we’re more than likely to get one this year, top end d talent is a crap shoot if there is a draft that has dmen near the top it’s right to take a chance on them because they’re impossible to acquire. I’m not saying joulevi was the right pick, maybe sergachev or mcavoy would have been better (time will tell), but tkachuk was definitely not the right pick for this team, we need dmen.
I can smell your yap though my phone. You keep talking out of your ass and we all get to smell that shit breath
This team doesn’t or didn’t just need d men. They need talent at every skating position
Sure. With this logic Gudbranson >> Boeser in your paint chip worldRoyalDude wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 9:10 am ^^abover”
Wingers are instant gratification, and are run of the mill, lots available, can be had easily and are not the heart of the team but centres, defence and goaltending are always the more valuable and much harder to acquire quality in over the long haul
Gudbranson is worth more than any other top line winger we have not named boeser. Leivo, was had for a career ahler, and he’s put up decent enough numbers to be considered a top 6 winger.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 10:10 amSure. Yeah Jake is probably another untouchable. But goldobin, Baertschi, lievo, all are top 6 producers that would be less valuable than gudbransonUncle dans leg wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 3:05 pmWheres the jake love? Dude has little Kermit the frog type arms. Chicken legs and frog pipes with a massive hairy torso and a bald head with a 4mm long neck just sitting on his shoulders. The massive boil over his right eye and a dozen or so long greasy strands of hair that blow in the wind. His Al Delvecchio snout is red and bulbous with a ton of broken blood vessels on it and tufts of thick black hair shooting out his massive nostrilsUncle dans leg wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 4:02 pm My first thoughts reading blobs EG rants is the dude coming at him with a dirty beard and arms stretched...
