They would be $10M over the cap if they tried to keep all these guys.

Buh-bye Barrie, Ceci, Clifford, Spezza, and one of Kapanen/Johnsson/Kerfoot

... all replaced by minimum wagers.

If they win Lafrenierre. They should trade Matthews to Arizona, ask for Hayton, Soderstrom, Chychrun and a 1st round pick. It’s not all hopeless in T.O.
And if they don't win Laffy??

Hopeless. :mex:

Also Dumbass publicly promised not to ever trade Matthews, Marner, or Nylander.

Tavares already in decline, the Big 3 have no will to battle hard, yeahno they're fucked forever Dude.

6 weeks ago they handed party-boy Matthews yet another $15.2M in cash.

Look for him to get arrested this summer while chasing girlies around in his undies....

I bet they wish they had Jim Benning for a GM

Time to blow it up Toronto, it was a good ride.

Next time try to find a few players with character and balls…

For what?

Longest rebuild in history?

Pinnacle of Tavares' career: making it to a game 5?

I like Tavares, he’s a good human, but he’s not worth what they’re paying him. Same with Marner. Marner should be getting Nylander money, if that.

That could all change tomorrow if they land Lafrenierre. Tomorrow is frightening to me. I’m having nightmares about it

Give Dubas credit for lotto-protecting the 1st he coughed up to get rid of Marleau - even he knew what was in store for a team "built on offence" that managed 10 goals in 5 games against a bargain bin team that was sub-.500.

Tonight the Toronto Maple Leaves lost because 5 guys simply can't beat 18 guys in a 60 minute game.

Come the 3rd period O'Keefe shortened his bench substantially and Tavares, Matthews, Marner, Nylander, and Reilly, simply ran out of gas and had nothing left in the final couple minutes.

But hey when you spend the GDP of an island nation on 3 guys there isn't much left to spread around to the supporting cast.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
