If he's not good enough for the leaves, he's not good enough for us either. Might as well grab him.
He was a warrior in the two playoff games I saw in Abby. His wheels are baked but why not pick him up and let guys like Bains and perhaps Sasson help out Abby. Throw Manny a bone instead of bouncing an anvil off his head. Get a couple scrubs off waivers perhaps even a defender or as a cap dump in a trade. . Fatten em up and move em' along for a 4th/5th and be a salary broker this season.

I found it funny that MCP took such opposition to trading 3 UFA's, DOC, and the captain who clearly wants out.,He said it would gut the team which is hilarious.
For sure Blob.. trade the captain ‘who clearly wants out’.

…. Or wait until July 2 when the team can actually discuss his future. 🤷🏼🤷🏼. Media and tank fans are running the best player this team has ever had, just like last time we had a bonafide superstar. Fair weather fans and media suck.

And I never said don’t trade UFA’s. Dont put words in my mouth.

Arvid Costmar got his throat slit this Sunday. Or neck.

Freak accident; Björklöven player Matt Maione was attempting an open ice hit, Costmar tried to swirl out of it and as they both lost balance and fell to the ground, Maione's right skate made contact with the side of Costmar's neck.

He bled profusely and was taken straight to the hospital, but fortunately the cut wasn't deep enough to sever the main artery.
He'll be fine, except for the scars.

Scary shit though. :|

And yeah, I know Costmar never made the team, but he was a prospect and attended camp, so...

What's the status of neckguards in Swedish hockey at the moment Per? Are they/have they been grandfathered in yet?

Anyway, I'm glad that kid was okay.

Neckguards are mandatory, and if the refs see you don't wear one they can call a minor penalty for faulty equipment.
Many players dislike them though and they are not always worn the way they're intended to.

I don't know the specifics of Costmar's neckguard, but I'm sure he had one, and I assume the skate must have cut him just above it.
I mean, it could even be that his neckguard deflected the skate a bit and that the injury might have been worse otherwise.

OK, actually found a pic:

So the neckguard seems quite low imho, but they may have pulled it down to look at the injury.

You can see the incission is high up, so it could be that the neckguard actually covered most of his neck during impact and actually saved him from a far worse injury.

By the looks of the direction of the gash, it appears the chin strap may have absorbed a potion of the impact.

That fuckin’ scary shit. Glad he’s okay

Could do this for shits and giggles to ease the "tension"....

There is likely some very good chatter and debate here.

All about willingness, desire and what your selected chronicles are I suppose.....

Geoff Courtnall, H Sedin, Pavel Bure

Quinn Hughes, Sami Salo (RD was hardest choice IMO)

Roberto Luongo

HC - Alain Vigneault

GM - Pat Quinn

It's a good list theman.

I'm in on Hank, Bure, Hughes, Quinn...the rest I have to think about.

RSD is a tough one indeed.

I might have Quinn as coach as well but AV has cred for sure.

Have to think it over.....

I didn’t go D Sedin at LW just for some variety in eras.

I would have Almo in there just for talent sake, but it was weird him and Bure couldn’t play together in the pros. Both RW.

So, my lineup:

Henrik, Bure, Bert
QH, Lumme as RSD

Lu

Pat as both GM and coach. I’d take him over AV for the playoffs.
