They need to find one of them big’un centres off waivers to replace Chytil. Cootes needs to go win some games in Abbotsford. He doesn’t need to be part of this team’s constant losing. RJ needs to do right by the kid and let him develop properly.
This team is so bad. Before this game I was worried they were going to be better than the Flames. Obviously that’s not the case.

Looking for silver linings here…
Please, for Cootes’ sake, keep him in Abby this year. Staying up with this bunch on the fourth line will likely demoralize him.

I tend to agree. I was going to champion keeping Bains up on the bench, but he clicks with Cootes, and that helps Cootes improve, and Bains is expendable in so many ways. So, go grab a couple of other projects off the scrap heap. They are basically free 4th round picks without the wait time. And we have the spots this year to try a few of them out.
