Yeah, I can't stand them Sharts either. Was dismayed when the lottery results were leaked yesterday.

Utah released a short list of possible names for fans to vote for.
Have to admit, I kind of like the "Mountaineers.' Doubt it will win, probably to 'old school.'

So they're not going with "Stormin' Mormans" ?
None of those are great names, IMO - and I've never been a fan of 'group' names (Avalanche, Wild) - so most of those put me off right away. "Outlaws" sounds like and ECHL team. Glaciers?
Yeah, something that move very slowly and is melting away? Swarm? Hive? Too Morman - but does play on the state flag. Caribou? There's none in Utah
Out of that batch, Moutaineers is the only one that comes close to a decent name, but still sounds too long.
They could stick with Coyotes, or go with Scorpions, Rattlers, Bears or whatever... in the end, I don't care - I hope they pick something stupid so we can mock them.
