It was adding they are all borderline players at best part Blob. I get it, if that is our core we are a hurting, but I don't agree all those players are boarderline.

If Pedan, Tryamkin and Larsen are all in our top-7 next season we likely won't be a playoff team.

Edler-Tanev
Sbisa-Hutton
Tryamkin-Pedan
Larsen

That'd be expecting a pretty steep development curve out of those young guys, and a lot of pressure on Edler-Tanev. Throw a sophmore jinx at Ben Hutton and pair him with Sbisa, yikes...

No, I think one of Pedan or Larsen (maybe both) winds up on waivers, maybe a UFA gets brought in for a camp battle. Tyamkin is this years' Virtanen, his spot is penned in already.

Jim wants to carry 8 D men. There is still room to add another vet.

Only a Negative Nelly would worry about Hutton moving forward.

Pretty sure Benning said we'll be carrying 8 dee next year.

No way will he waive the probable #8 guy: Pedan.

We don't know what we have in Larsen yet, so who knows...

Benning has invested a couple of years in Pedan's development. He was also a player other GMs bring up in trades. No way he gets waived. Traded? Perhaps if there is a hockey deal there but not waived.

No one has officially (or unofficially or fish oily 'Hi' Rats! :D ) said Hammer is not back.....he would be a great stable teaching vet back here with Tryamkin & Pedan.
I love every move Jim Benning makes 8-)

Think Hammer needs a fresh start somewhere else,
Can't teach young guys when he's trying to find his own game,
This is where we might have to use some cap to get a not too old vet on D...

I'd rather they try and find a buyer for Edler and Sbisa, sign Yandle

Yandle - Tanev
Hamhuis - Hutton
Tryamkin - Pedan
Biega

If Benning can find a new home for Miller and Burrows, combined with the money they are going to save with Vrbata, Prust, Weber, Vey, Bartowski, he'll have more than enough to go hard after Stamkos and Lucic.

Lucic - Stamkos - Hansen
Sedin - Sedin - Sutter
Baertschi - Horvat - Virtanen

I'd be happy with that as a top 9

Dare to dream

I see RHD Luke Schenn will be a UFA this summer. We might suck, but a Schenn-Sbisa / Pedan-Tryamkin bottom 4 would be pretty good in scrums.
