Muzac For Munsters

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Yep. Show people tend to be well rounded like that.

And Conrad was 'rounded' all right :D

Geez, I need to correct an earlier mistake I made re The Rhythm Pals. The Rhythm Pals were regular guests on The Tommy Hunter Show, not Don Messer's Jubilee. As the years go by my distant memories of great CBC music series' like Tommy Hunter's, Don Messer's and Singalong Jubilee all seem to bleed into each other. I think the Pals may have had a minor Canadian radio hit with their cover version of Gordon Lightfoot's Cotton Jenny but they were mainly known for their appearances on shows like Tommy Hunter's.

This was the theme to The Tommy Hunter Show for anyone feeling nostalgic :)

^Hey that Wheels album is a keeper. For a three year old you sure knew good music when you heard it

And The Shadows. What can you say really. Brilliant.

Not Ringo though. After a day or two at the maharishi's wigwam in India Ringo was off to the pub.

True, everybody loved Down-to-Earth Ringo.

He won all the Who-Would-You-Most-Like-To-Share-A-Pint-With polls.

Ringo is much like our very own Ratski in that respect. :drink:

^Had to look it up, and yup she's the one that crossed to pond to work closely with the aforementioned George + Ringo.

They signed her up with Apple Records they did. :drink:

Holy cow, they signed her to Apple records eh.

I believe she spent some time over there as one of the three girl backup signers Steve Marriott used in Humble Pie to give them that soul sound he was after. Possibly The Small Faces. Maybe it was both :sly:
