Don't worry Kenji, the balcony has been closed by the mods.

...and you can easily duck the punches of those old uncles who throw like aunties.

Post away!

It’s a great hockey community but sometimes it feels like I am coming in and hearing a long running family argument between two angry uncles who have so much history that it’s hard to know what’s going on, better to just sidle out the door before you get punched
Taking a punch is what makes you family. It’s part of the initiation process here. 🤪
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Just trying to play my best hockey every game,” Pettersson said in response to one question.

Does he feel like he’s done that?

“No.”

What does he need to do?

“Play better.”

Well, then.

When asked about trade discussions and rumours mentioning his name, he put it back on the media.

“It’s you guys that make the trade rumours. So, ask yourself,” he said.

In fact, the latest Pettersson trade rumour was not “made up” by anyone in the room. It came from a report out of Ottawa, from Bruce Garrioch, a well-respected veteran beat writer.

“There’s always noise. I don’t read or listen to any of it. So it’s nothing new.”

Now look at this point I’m not trying to stop anyone venting their spleen about Pettersson but surely there are some lines not to be crossed.

Calling Brice Garrioch “well-respected”??

I’d love to read (or write) an all-access book on the Nucks. What is really going on?

Petterson is sour and hostile to the media. Do you suppose he’s different to his teammates?

I’ve never heard of a star player getting married and inviting not a single teammate

Ya it would be gossipy nice to know the whole story. He has always been different. Never been a fan of the media. At first I wrote it off to a language issue, you know, not fully comfortable speaking English. But as time has gone on you can still see his disdain for the media. He has been described before as a bit of a loner here in North America. Don't know about back in Sweden.

But I suppose when you have a talent like that you need to find a way to work with it. It doesn't sound like all the players could work with it. His game started to disappear after the Kuzmenko trade. They had very good on ice chemistry. It was like he lost his best friend. Albeit Kuzmenko was weirder then him with his bananas and coke on the bench.
The only HW the Canucks need
