Cassels' offensive production didn't climb to noticeable levels until after he was drafted. He was scouted for his 2-way abilities. He may still make it - he's been a late-bloomer in earlier stages - but the window of potential is starting to close.

Lind, on the other hand, has been putting up points in the Dub since before his draft year (41 pts in 70 games in 15-16). Nothing certain, but a far surer bet and reason to be optimistic about him as a prospect. A 7-0 game is nothing to truly gauge anything, but it's better than if he didn't score. Looking forward to WJHC camps coming up.

..... and since Bubbles loves his hind sight so much, 4th round draft pick Lynden Vey, with 100+ NHL games beat the odds against the 2nd round pick he was acquired for.

Drafted by the Kings in 2014 2nd round, Rowland McKeowan has a couple of years of development to go, but has one NHL game under his belt. That is one more than Canuck 2nd round pick that year, Thatcher Demko and 78 less than Canuck 3rd round pick the same year Nikita Tryamkin.

As much as I hate looking back, I will only consider one pick that we screwed up. If we had have selected Kopitar, our franchise would have its name on the Cup. Everything else seems like so much window dressing.

With a healthy amount of scoring winger prospects for them work with, the challenge then becomes to find a top pairing QB guy, a future Letang, Keith, Doughty type. Juolevi is suggested to be a solid top pairing dmen - a Mr reliable if you will, but the team still needs a game changer scoring dman, a Boeser type on defense.
