On the spot.

Lost his job over it.
Yup. Hockey Gods work in mysterious ways. We won the lottery without actually winning one.

Although at the time, I was a bit bummed that we couldn't have have moved up enough to grab "Dude Where's" Makar. I was like, WTF... Avs keep winning with their 1st round picks.

Then the Gods said, "Calm the fuck down, we'll give you another one" and encouraged the Habs & Coyotes to go way off the board and the Red Wings to pick Zadina.

The stars aligned for the Canucks once and for all, Pettersson and Hughes are exceptionally talented hockey players. Generational! Thankfully the GMs ahead of us got blinded with their size. Benning and his cronies certainly weren’t blinded by size.

Genius transition from the Twins

Odd how well the Islanders are playing since Tavares left town, or maybe not odd at all with what’s going on in Toronto.

The Tavares-less Islanders - wow!

The Tavares Leaves - ouch.

Is Matthews Generational?

Most people are now saying they’d take Pettersson ahead of Mattthews.

Maple leaves; Maple leaves forward Mitch Marner underwent an MRI exam today after sustaining an ankle injury in last night’s game vs. PHI.
Marner is expected to be out of the lineup for a minimum of 4 weeks, at which point he will be reassessed by the @MapleLeafs medical staff

Hutchinson on waivers after the 5-4 loss to the Hawks.

Just watched the replays. Of the 5 goals there was one that he should have had, and another that was a maybe. The rest were shitty defense getting in the way (or not) and the goalie doesn't have a chance.

The Leaves problem is that they have too many guys not buying in on their side of center ice, a paper thin blueline, and like Ovie said, they need to play for each other no themselves.

But yeah, waive the goaltender, it's his fault.

There’s two “generational” players in the game today. An older one in Pittsburgh and a younger one in Edmonton. Some fanboys like to toss that word around pretty loosely.

Marner out might have torpedoed my hockey pool. I already lost Landeskog.

Pettersson is the Swedish Gretzky. That is grounds for being labelled Generational

Yup, Leaves give up quality chances All. Game. Long.

Also note they've been throwing this particular backup to the wolves.

His starts have been against: Washington, Boston, Montreal (twice), and Chicago last night.

(Chicago has been playing well lately, just 1 regulation loss in their last 6)

ALL of his starts have been in the back half of back-to-backs with a tired team in front of him.

He has faced almost exactly twice as many high-danger chances per-60 as Freddy...

But yeah, waive the goaltender, it's his fault.

A lot of Swedish hockey players seem to think Pettersson could go down as the greatest Swedish hockey player of all time. That’s generational speak
