Never expected you to post any links. Like you said, that's more Doc's thing. Although I did quote you, my "Let's see it" comment , was more generally directed to anyone who cared to support that side of the argument. Probably I should have be more clear on that.

I'm coming around to the idea that it's not too late for Biden to step down and for a new candidate to be chosen at the convention in 8 weeks time. Even if Biden can recover from his debate gaffes, it's not the last debate so he could fuck it up even more, which would be an unparalleled disaster. Definitely too late too change course in September.

A new candidate would be a fresh start for the Dems with a young energetic voice that can call bullshit on Trump in debates. A Dem convention that circumvents the primaries (as the process used to be) would make for exciting TV. And for voters who resent having to choose between two octogenarians it would offer a real choice.

It's a no-brainer so even Biden could make this decision (right Doc!)

The problem (for all of us imho) is the most logical choice is Newsom which, to me, is an extremely frightening prospect.

A lucid Gavin is more dangerous than a senile Biden I do believe.
