Nice touch by the Jets getting Hawerchuk’s wife to announce the pick.
Great picks by both the Wild and the Jets.,
Great picks by both the Wild and the Jets.,
Funny how they could have used a guy like Guhle who Montreal just picked or Schneider or Grieg who are still left. The leaves just picked a wet fartStrangelove wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:50 pm Stupid Leaves take Amirov.
I thought for sure they'd trade the pick.

In that scenario we have a $3M difference in cap hit though.Strangelove wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 1:38 pmIf we sign Tanev to a 5 year contract he'll be 35 years old when it's done.Micky wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 8:12 amTaking on Larsen's contract would be very much a deal for the now, not the long term future. Better win the cup in the next three years.theman wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:52 amYeah, Tanev looks gone, kind of mixed on it but in some ways I agree, he was lucky last season (injury wise). One of those hard choices. Now if we do land OEL, it would make loosing Tanev easier to take. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:03 am I'd say Benning has the upper hand with both Bill Armstrong and Markstrom. The yoties don't want to give away their franchise defenseman but he has them over a barrel. Same with Marky. He wants to stay on and see where this team can go more than he wants to cash in with detroit and suffer that fate.
It sure looks like Tanev is gone though.

The $3M+ difference in salary is something we all know about and has nothing to do with the subject at hand.Mëds wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:08 pmIn that scenario we have a $3M difference in cap hit though.Strangelove wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 1:38 pmIf we sign Tanev to a 5 year contract he'll be 35 years old when it's done.Micky wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 8:12 amTaking on Larsen's contract would be very much a deal for the now, not the long term future. You always omit critical details Doc.....why is that?
Apparently we got JT in a trade for some dude named Shakir Mukhamadullin.Nuckertuzzi wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:08 pmThe Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:00 pm Pretty happy the canucks drafted JT Miller in his prime at a great cap hit with the 20th OA.

So much talk about how deep this draft is. Imagine how tough today would be if Miller didn't work out. I'm happy with Miller, I'm happy with the overall team progress. Today isn't hard at all.
Actually it was the 20th pick this year and a 3rd rounder from last year. The Lightning drafted a goalie with the 3rd that they really like.Strangelove wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:23 pmApparently we got JT in a trade for some dude named Shakir Mukhamadullin.Nuckertuzzi wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:08 pmThe Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:00 pm Pretty happy the canucks drafted JT Miller in his prime at a great cap hit with the 20th OA.
