I was wondering if both loser franchises would consider swapping "garbage" just to maybe change up the fortunes of the unfortunate victims.
Obviously QH wouldn't be involved in this recycling program.

Something is seriously wrong the Buffalo Sabres organization. I mean how many lottery picks do they need to get their house in order. The endless rebuild.donlever wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:01 pmI can see Dahlin and Thompson telling Buffalo to f-r-o sooner than later.Carl Yagro wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 5:45 pm Chef, is Owen Power overrated, not as good as projected or yet another victim of the Buffalo organization?
When is Dahlin just going to give up on this team?
theman, Verhoeff is a big RHD.

I wonder if most fans would rather be at the bottom of the standings in an endless rebuild, or stuck in the mushy middle where you win the odd playoff round.....Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:56 pmSomething is seriously wrong the Buffalo Sabres organization. Decent 3rd line numbers, you ask me. Nothing stellar, but Raty is shaping up to be a viable option among the bottom two centre spots moving forward. Pretty much where many of us pegged his ceiling when he was traded.

yet, we somehow 'have the worst prospecting/development team' in the NHLBlob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:40 am Canucks young gun Braden Cootes added to TC WJC roster.
Canucks young gun Tolopilo finding his way..
Canucks young gun D Petey isn't embarassing himself.
Canucks young gun Raty looks like a keeper.
Canucks young gun Wilander looks like a keeper.
Canucks youngish gun Karlsson is becoming a regular.

The guy just turned 23 and is pacing for around 30 points. He plays 12 min a night. Ryan Kesler had 17 points in 48 games at the same age. Raty has a 3rd line floor.
Sounds like he will fit nicely in between the 2nd and 4th line. If only we had a number for that line.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 4:54 pmThe guy just turned 23 and is pacing for around 30 points. He plays 12 min a night. Hopefully they get Breezer back soon too.
With the faceoff ability and his intelligently conservative play that is within himself, Raty has the chance to be in the league a long time. Intelligence and responsibility offset the potentially worst aspect of his game (speed/quickness). He can be a very valuable player if he could develop excellent PK play or become a 50 point guy who can pass as a second line center. Both are possible. On offense, he possesses a good shot, though maybe not all the release angles you want to see. And he's good at driving the net. He's been given some PK time this year, which is good, though I am not sure how much of that has the intention of "win the draw and get off the ice as soon as you can." At any rate, I am happy with this guy, and think he's a keeper. As long as your expectations are reasonable.... And there's nothing wrong with a guy good enough to clearly be above tweener but not good enough to be too-big-of-a-slice off the cap.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 4:54 pmThe guy just turned 23 and is pacing for around 30 points. Sounds like a $2.5x7 contract. That's a little tongue in cheek, but, if he is a solid 3rd line centre. $2.5 is a good deal. And, Raty is looking like a solid 3rd line centre. It's be nice to have that role locked up for a while.UWSaint wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 12:43 pmWith the faceoff ability and his intelligently conservative play that is within himself, Raty has the chance to be in the league a long time.
