Re: Conspiracy Theory
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
That's all you got to know.
You can believe in what you want. God. Abiogenesis. Yeah it's a personal choice and probably faith and bias play a part. But don't tell me that abiogenesis is scientifically impossible just because there's no evidence. That's a logical fallacy.

Spoken like his denturist
He's proving renowned evolutionists, Gould, correct
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Not that I super want to pipe up here, but what the hey…
I’ve got to plead Pascal’s wager. There is so much bullshit in the world and so much beyond my own imagination or comprehension could provide. I wasn’t raised to be anything, I went to church exactly twice by the time I was 14 - inoculation and a wedding. My dad grew up in what amounts to most Vancouverites as backwater squalor and had very skeptics views of organized religion. Still had some sense of spiritual freedom.
As Lenin said, whatever gets you through the night. Is alright. I’ve lived thru shit I can’t explain should be dead 50 times over. Someone out there in the ether has an eye on me.

If we're debating the existence of God, then yes.Mëds wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 12:47 amThe argument goes both ways ya know.....5thhorseman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:34 pm Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

However, I'm only arguing that it's not proven that abiogenesis is impossible. That one does not go both ways.

Re: Conspiracy Theory
People need to stop stressing about death, making up fairytales to deal with it, you’ve done it before and for a long time. Prior to being spat out of your Ma’s womb by Mother Nature you didn’t exist since time began, and were you bothered when you didn’t exist? Were you suffering from FOMO? Hell fuck no, that blissful non existence is what you’re going back to my friend, you’ve done it before, so why worry? Now turn off frisky frolics for once and get fucking real, learn to love it!

You're out of your element

Re: Conspiracy Theory
We prepare for death every time we rest our head on a pillow. I think. I believe that our conscious energy leaves the body that 'spark' that makes man man, man. I also believe the reason we pop out the womb crying is because we appreciate the suffering journey we bestow upon.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 7:33 am People need to stop stressing about death, making up fairytales to deal with it, you’ve done it before and for a long time. As Norm Macdonald said, it's the greatest gig alive. You don't exist for eons, don't witness, don't learn anything, and then suddenly you do. It's a wonderful gift as well. Kids my age have already dropped dead from my class. I don't have a lot in life, but I still have mine. As long as you breathe, you have a reason.
But all that shit is pretty far out there, and not up to me to make sense of. Some things aren't supposed to make sense.
I don't fuckin' roll on Shabbos.

Re: Conspiracy Theory
But I will say this, Hamhock…I’m all in for an afterlife, I mean who wouldn’t?
Science learns from science learned upon science and so on. It’s forever learning, evolving from each new discovery, all based on facts with endless facts waiting to be learned as science progresses.. Religion never evolves, we’ve learned nothing new from the archaic writings of a few thousand years ago from those who made up stories based on rumours and creative fictional writing, it’s not fact, it’s pure fiction. It’s lunacy. There was no investigative journalism back then, you just took peoples word on it, Noah’s ark and nonsense like that.
If religion evolved with time on a human level, with how humans really are focusing on our best qualities, be more earthy and less hocus pocus, it would be more respected.

Re: Conspiracy Theory
No way Argy is some random newbie who just joined to inflate our numbers from 18. Can both yuk it up and discuss shit? Very comfortable here already.
It's got to be a someone familiar from the past who's reincarnated to this afterlife. I don't want to say it's someone's new footwear...
This is my conspiracy theory.
Stay angry, my Ham.
Should I update my sig again or does Corn really have to ban someone?

So what I think you’re saying is that Ham is a past member who transitioned from whoever s/he was to Argay.
