I understand that we want to be in a position to take on Salary (and we still will be) to potentially make a deal, but why would we want to take someone elses bad contract?!? Last thing we need as a rebuilding team is another long term Albatross Contract.
I'd be more than OK with Miller getting an NMC if its a one-year deal, its not as though there will be much market for him at the deadline and other teams (i.e. Vegas) may shy away from an NMC.
exactly!! :D

Sorry, not trying to start an argument but I wouldn't give him anything more than a limited NTC, whether it's 1 or 2 years.. Maybe 8 teams he wont go to.
Maybe next Feb., It'll be an injured goalie fest, you never know.
I would only go 4 mill, for either one or two years, with that stingy NTC, that's it.
No, I personally do not think Markstrom can play 60+ games, but I do think he can play 40 to 45 and if Miller doesn't like a deal like I propose, Let him walk, we can get another goalie that can play 40 games for less than 4 mill.

I wouldn't worry too hard about signing Miller. According to Ek, the god who knows everything, Miller is being moved to Anaheim immediately after the expansion draft..... :?:

So, like that would mean we get something, right.
Before July 1st.
Wonder what?

Or it means Miller is being selected by Vegas and they are moving him.

Blackhawks' Hossa won't play 2017-18 season

I assume that Hossa will not be retired in the next few years. He just will not play. Does Luongo have a similar medical problem?

Not according to Matt Sekeres. He says that it will be either Gaunce or Sbisa. I assume that the Vancouver pick is pretty much ended up being "what is needed to meet the requirements". :drink:

Should've just gone with post-concussion syndrome, then he'd get a head office job with the NHL and could be put on LTIR.

Tippett and Arizona agree to part ways! That was quick.

Maybe Loui Erickson could somehow end up with a condition where he couldn't play again.
