Isn't it just that rich people need poor people to do their work? Much easier to explain. When corporations can write the laws that affect their industry, then you know the game is rigged. Pawns are taxed at higher rates than billionaires. Pawns go to war for empire. Pawns don't have a voice in government.
At this point in my life, I really don't care. And if I spend too much time thinking about it, then it just pisses me off and I have other things to do my relatively few remaining years. Things haven't changed since feudal days, and are unlikely to change in the future (until the robot apocalypse).
It's a rigged game and we've played it as well as we could with the cards we were dealt. From what I read here, most of us seem to have a decent enough life carved out. Life can be so much worse, so why complain (too loudly).
