Since the Canucks are fighting for a playoffs spot, Ribeiro at age 36 is still a lot better than Chaput.

His issues were off ice issues. Not sure he is the type of vet they want on a rebuilding team. But I suppose he could still score a few goals. Still, no. Besides I don't think we have 3.5 cap left.

I wouldn't. I think better options will pop up PDQ in the next week or so..

MAF on the trade block. Pittsburg confirms that if MAF wants a chance to be the number one they will accommodate him. Saying that he has been nothing but professional since their transition in net and they want to make sure they respect his requests. Since he hasn't requested a trade it is curious. I can see LA perhaps making a play. MAF controls his destination.

Put in a claim then trade him at the deadline for a pick.
Canucks should have done this with PA Parenteau at the start of the season.

Haven't watched a game in a long time (working nights) but watching the Bruins playing the leaves tonight and I remember why I love this game.
McQuaid DESTROYING Martin...goals every few minutes....energy, physical play.
Cant wait for the Canucks to get rid of all the pussies and play the game like its supposed to be played. How many more years of bitch slappings again?

Doc years? After this season it's only 1-2 until we're cup contenders.

I thought it was 2 to 3 years before we can draft top 3...this rebuild is confusing

Julien fired! Bruins smartly buried this in the Patriots Super Bowl celebrations
How long before he is snapped up?

I'm going to have to assume that he and Benning have already talked. Rumours abound that Willie is twitching more than usual.

He's a pretty good coach but he'd be wise to wait until the summer. There will be far better gigs available than this one.

Well Julien and Benning have a good repertoire connection.
12 Feb 2015
Julien on Benning - "The one thing that I can say about him is how calm he is, never panics. Sees the game extremely well." #Bruins
All it would take is the Aquiliinis deep pockets to offer him a Mike Babcock contract.

Maybe he doesn't want to come to a hockey hotbed where the team is brutal and the prospect pipeline is razor thin.

Well...$6.25m per year and all of a sudden 'it's a good challenge' ala babcock on that turd of a team when he signed in Toronto.
Plus never underestimate the power of a good relationship with the GM as well.
