Source evaluation is fundamental to all higher learning. When you are looking for information you need to consider how reliable a source is, taking in account its track record, if there is a conflict of interest, a hidden agenda, etc, and comparing with other sources to see if they support or contradict eachother. When I see people linking to something I never take it at face value but always start by evaluating the source. If It is obvious that it lacks all reliability, I lose interest.
