Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward
Looks like Domi will re-up with Leaves @ 4x4.
Not that he was of interest here.
Also Adam Boqvist is apparently free for the taking.

RHD, he might be worth a look

Me thinks tomorrow will be an epic stupid day, lots of teams clearing cap space today.

...yeah...former 8th o/a pick that has never really panned out.

Seems like there are some righties available this year, Matt Roy and Alexandre Carrier might be of some interest. Sean Walker, Tanev, Pesce, Lybushkin, Zaitsev. My gawd, Colin Miller, Tony DeAngelo. There's a righty for all seasons.

Roy to the Ducks to pair off with their young LS D Zelleweger and/or the Russian kid.
Hard no to crazy Tony.
Sean Walker would up our team speed for sure but I am of the belief big, strong, physical D win Cups and he ain't that and we're covered in the small to mid sized player on our back end.
Which is a downside to Boqvist as well.

I’m not sure what’s more important right now? Another D-man to replace Z or a winger who can actually pkay with Petey? It seems both are pretty dire at the moment.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 10:17 am Seems like there are some righties available this year, Matt Roy and Alexandre Carrier might be of some interest. Also, is RHD a problem still with Hronek and Myers locked up? It’s a Cliff bigger than the Squamish Chief on the left side after Hughes now that Z is toast

One rumour is that Stamkos was offered $24M over 8 years. A paltry $3M per to a guy who put up 40G/81P last year.
Allvin should offer him $5.5 x 4. He would be a very good lineman’s for Pettersson. Even $6.5M would be worthwhile.
Stamkos - Petey - ______
PP1
Boeser - Miller - Petey
Stamkos - Hughes
Go for it Allvin!

The leaves are apparently trying to get around the cap similarly by offering Tanev low dollars over eight years.Mëds wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 12:16 pm One rumour is that Stamkos was offered $24M over 8 years. A paltry $3M per to a guy who put up 40G/81P last year.

The league office has caught wind of this latest tactic I'm reading today and they're signaling Luongo recapture style circumvention penalties might in store for those who try this.

It ain’t over til it’s over, regarding Woo. Another hanger on from the Benning era like Brisebios and Karlsson (Dahlen trade via Burrows trade)

The leadership and Cup experience from Stamkos would be Yuge…”look……..if we finally beat Medicare!”
