Jonas Berndtsson Lambert was a 17th century pirate for the Dutch in the West Indies, attacking French and Spanish ships. He was granted a huge part of what is now Guyana by the Dutch government and when he died left behind several barrels of gold in the custody of a Dutch bank. His relatives never managed to get the inheritance. The Dutch government took possession of the gold for safe guarding and somehow misplaced it. And the lawyer who went to Guyana to claim the land there for the family instead claimed it for himself....

I have a hard time rooting for the good ol' USA presently. Don't really want to get into politics here though, swore I wouldn't. Never fails to ruin the forum experience
