A few soy slurpers in the media are bashing Petey for going on that show, and apparently some Pettersson sweaters have been trashed as a result. Freidman has weighed in in support of Burke/against Pettersson.

Is there any truth to people tossing their Petey jerseys? I just can’t really see that happening..

And I think that JD is triggered because the boys on the pod are more knowledgeable, more entertaining, More popular, make more money and get more kills than JD can dream about.. but that’s just my speculation...

I'm getting most of this second hand, I don't really consume much local sports news anymore. It seems like another chapter in this shaming/canceling culture war that's going on. Soon there will be no more room for actual hockey players in hockey culture because toxic masculinity etc. We'll have to make do with left wing journos like Burke and Friedman reminiscing about the days of the NHL through a fourth wave feminist lens.
