Aliens

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Doc, all of this, the CC, has been an ongoing study by us Aliens in trying to understand why the human species believe in a creator they created. We are quite fascinated by the Phenomena

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I've made it through roughly 2/3rds of the podcast.

Adam Frank is definitely full of himself. One of these guys trying to present himself as an expert of far too many fields but leaves many holes in his evidence if you know the subject he's discussing. Some interesting realities of alien life and the chances, methods and ideas for finding evidence.

I do find it funny when people present evolution as as a response mechanism instead of a random feature. He even tries countering Gould with a weak study of e-coli bacteria. He also fails to mention sulphate reducing organisms of the earliest life forms on Earth even when using deep sea life as an example of harsh environments. His discussion of the importance of plate tectonics in evolution could have been fleshed out more.

The whole idea of interplanetary travel (Elon's colonizing Mars) or even human interstellar travel to keep our species from extinction has a stench of modern day eugenics.

Interesting discussion of the multi-generational element that some of these ideas involve and the ethical implications. AI robots of ourselves as a work around?????

So....I had an encounter 2 nights ago.

Having been watching the news about all the UAP/UFO/drone footage has had me casually watching the skies for anything out of the ordinary. It's mid winter and we live way out in the country so the skies are crystal clear and we can definitely spot anomalous entities, should they deem us worthy.

Anyways, I was driving around 10-11 pm 2 nights ago and was miles from any other people when out the driver's side window and across an empty canola field I saw a streaking point of light that exploded about 40-50 metres off the ground.

What the fuck!

I could easily see for miles in any direction that there wasn't a soul in sight. The explosion wouldve been no more than that of a small firework. The trajectory was from above travelling more or less horizontally with a slight decending tendency. The explosion happened basically right beside my window. I was travelling at approximately 100km/hr

There's no way it could've been a shooting star but that was what it appeared to look like prior to it exploding
