His hits didn’t hurt any of the bigger defensemen.
Definitely not worth a Gourde like contract.
Sell high and replace with a downgrade in Sammy Blais who fights a bit and hits to hurt but will cost a whole lot less.
I agree

And that ‘trade everyone’ idea is why this team can’t build chemistry in the locker room. For the last decade or so we seem to flip 1/2 the roster every off season. People wonder why this team struggles with identity and locker room chemistry…

This teams #1 roster issue is NOT needing 2 top 6 guys.

It’s that we have a chemistry/identity issue. Flipping a guy because you can will not solve that issue.

Like I said, find out who Hughes’s boys are, get them signed to long term deals. STOP churning over a 3rd of the roster each season, and build it.

McKenna rumoured to be considering a move to the NCAA. This would be a blow to the CHL

Cayden Lindstrom also headed to Michigan State. The big money programs are cleaning up.

Blasphemer !! Success is built by alternating between throwing shit at the wall and hitting the fan with shit. This is the Way.

The dominoes are falling, sad new reality for the CHL. Didn’t think it would happen this quickly. Welcome to the new NCAA the incubator to the NHL.

33 year old centre Brock Nelson signs a 3 year $7.5 million per year deal. Pius Suter must’ve smiled. The cheap Aqualini’s and their budget rookie coaching staff certainly won’t be opening up the wallet that wide for UFA centres. The trade route is the only option. Good luck with that Allvin…Rutherford. Nice spot ya put yourselves in, ya dingbats…but…our defence!!!

Add Colorado to the list of teams needing to shed salary...https://www.spectorshockey.net/2025/06/ ... ne-6-2025/

As the list of teams with cap issues grows, (has Jim Nill ever gotten himself into a cap pickle!) I wonder is some of the teams who were expected to be active on July 1st might decide to sit back and weaponize their cap space in the collateral damage market?...

Regarding our cheap coaching staff, curious which of the many teams looking to fill coaching positions you think did a better job and how much they had to pay for their coaching staffs?...

Take care...

You hated Bo. Full stop.

We all know Miller is a selfish prick who doesn't play with others.

Pettersson is a weirdo. Stick with him or don't.

Trades get made, players get dealt. What the hell does Suter have to do with Nelson?

You make as much sense as Miss Teen south Carolina while looking like Mel Sharples after a bowl of basketball soup.

He’s a centre. We need centres, his deal at 33 years old sets the bar this off season what the available centres will be getting. I imagine Bennett will reap big time. Suter will get somewhere between $4-$5 million per. Can we afford that?

Nelson has typically paced at around 55 points for most of his career.

Suter has only eclipsed 40 points once.

Despite Nelson’s contract, I can’t see Suter getting more than $4M in free agency. He just doesn’t have the pedigree.

If these star kids all join the NCAA and band together to stay 4 years and become UFA they could play havoc with the entry draft. It’s a loophole the NHL needs to close before it becomes a problem. What star kids wants to toil for bottom feeders.

So if you’re a shit team you’ll be stuck drafting out of the SHL.

Fuck sakes.

Canucks better get it together before then.

Suter is barely a centre. He can chip in. You are like Dan Russel, Troy from White Rock and Mike from Surrey rubbed into a newspaper that is slathered with Carp. 28 ish years... now?
