The leaves have until 2023-24 until Matthews bids adieu to Toronto. Just around the corner, meanwhile they keep giving away 1st round picks and prospects to win now. Pressure is on Dubas bigly time.

... and minus three of their top-9 forwards from last year.

... they'll start the season with just two top-6 NHL dmen.
Unless of course they' spend all of that $17M.
Let's see... $11M on Marner... leaves them with $6M to fill out the roster.
Needed: 2 more forwards and 4 more defensemen.

LOL indeed. The Canucks did not qualify an identical player in Markus Granlund. Any team could sign Granlund UFA for half of what Brown costs and wouldn't have to give up an asset. Players like Granlund and Brown are a dime a dozen. Brown is garbage. So you do what you do best, which is always over rating your garbage.
Or maybe TO coughs their 2020 second rounder to any team who will take Brown.
