George McPhee it is, in Arizona.
Justin Schultz signs one year, 1.4m with the Pens. A winning culture is attractive.

Id like to see what JS can do under proper guidance and control with Pitts. That's a fair deal for both sides.

I can understand the confusion. Two places that hotter than hell, with horrible traffic and built in place that has no business supporting millions of people.
Just want a Cup before we're all dead...

HW must be thinking of rats in AZ.
Habs let go of their analytics guy after he put forth a great presentation of why they shouldn't trade PK for Weber, they didn't like what he said, so he's gone. ahaa

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Whether it be trades, signings, or business operations many Canuck fans need to get out more and see the world, I mean the league...Habs let go of their analytics guy after he put forth a great presentation of why they shouldn't trade PK for Weber, they didn't like what he said, so he's gone. ahaa![]()
Mistakes are made every day by the best in the business and too often I think we judge our GM against perfection which is an unrealistic way of looking at it...
Take care...

Bergevin also, allegedly, made some caustic comment about, well they hired they guy to win and look where that got them last year.
Old school vs new school. I think we are much the same. When Linden cleaned house he made a comment around the lines that while they valued opinions and dissent was ok, it wasn't ok to have strong dissent at almost every move. Implying of course that there was an influence that just was not on the same page and it was tiring. Lawrence paid the price.
I'll be the first to admit I don't understand analytics, don't want to either. I see the value in analysis but think some teams are going to far into the abyss.

As in any job you can voice your opinion and disagree but once a decision is made you shut up and do your job.
Anything else you probably get let go.

Weren't Bonino's numbers just brutal in his year with us?
Then he gets shipped to the Penguins and is playing behind Crosby and Malkin, and ends up having Kessel and Hagelin as linemates.....the Canucks sure missed the boat there, it's almost unfathomable that we didn't see the same player in blue and green the year before. Oh wait.....
And why didn't Sutter look like quite the same player that he did in Pittsburgh? (In the limited games we saw him in that is).
