Toronto's issue is clearly Lou's contract. It's not a #1 franchise C who's 21 getting a massive deal.

Zaitsev and Marleau are the issues. Combined they are making as much as Tavares.

Nylander has hit 61 points twice and is 22.

Yeah. If Nylander bounces back to even 55 points next year he's gonna look like a steal next to Skinner. It's not even close.

Marner put up 31 more points than Skinner. He's 22 and Skinner is 27. Skinner has peaked, he's not going to get any better, with better linemates he might score another 7-10 points, so if you think Marner's agent is going to be OK with his guy signing for only $2M more than Skinner with that many more years to improve you're dreaming. Marner's ask just went up to $13M.

Boeser's ask probably just went to $9.5M if we want long term.
