Rick Dhaliwal says the Abby Canucks get their rings on Thursday night. I guess the Aquas were just waiting for a good Boxing Day sale

Saw that earlier and was going to comment but didn't.

Custom order like that?
Nah. Too much time for it to be on Boxing Day.
Probably a Black Friday special from Ali Express.

Can't blame the guy for having no idea what's expected of a championship/1st class organization.
Now if only he can bundle that Ali Express order with a practice facility.

He was probably so surprised at a Championship absolutely no one in Mgmt/Ownership saw coming that they were waiting to wake up from their nightmare - "I have to plan rings/parade?!"
I hear the practice facility is coming in from TEMU.

Better yet turf the GM asap and find someone who can play darts!
These two have continually thought they are smarter than everyone yet continue to show their ineptitude.
Every management team since Nonis (neither my memory nor the archives go further back than that) has had its passionate detractors on this board. And all of those detractors has been able to adduce enough damning evidence that I cannot say that any of them have been entirely wrong.
But one thing those management teams have shown Canucks fans is that NHL hockey management ability is not necessarily all of one level at all phases of the job. For all the gaffs, and flaws underlying those gaffs, of the JR/PA administration, no one here has expressed dissatisfaction with their ability to play draft darts -- at least not so far.
So while I understand the very good reasons that fans would like to see them gone, as long as they stockpile draft picks, and then use those picks to actually draft prospective players, I see no reason for concerns about their ability to execute on that phase of a re-build.
Keeping that in mind might help to better enjoy a phase of the Canucks competitive cycle where there will be few wins to celebrate.

I hear what you’re saying RG, while they seem to have done alright I wouldn’t say we’ve really hit a home run with Patty and Jim drafting. We have giving up a few draft picks since 2022 as well.
Personally I would have preferred to take a few more western boys earlier in the drafts, this is no big secret for those that know me!
The next couple years we need to hit a couple out of the park, just don’t know if Corporate Petey and the old man have the muscle to do it.
