^ If I fuck up the local times in the GDT - it's because of this. ^

Doesn't matter, Corn. Just start every GDT title with an 'L' and you're golden.

I hate people who don't pronounce the word "important" properly. I hear mostly young people pronouncing it "Impordant". It's spelt with a "t" not a "d". What the fuck is wrong with these people.

I often hear it pronounced as 'impor-ent'.
"It's very impor ent to speak English properly."
Drives me nuts when I hear 'edoo-cation' instead of 'ed-ju-cation'.
This I can't fault non-native speakers as English spelling is so ridiculous.

This is fair.
If you haven't seen the clips already search up "English words with Francis" on the socials. Hilarious. They even cover hockey last names on one of the reels.

The first time I was on the tube in London, I almost missed my stop. I kept hearing "Next stop, Lester".
I'm like, there's no Lester. The closest spelling was Leicester.
Even the English can't do English.
Similarly, I used to embarrass myself with phonetically pronouncing "Worcestershire" sauce. Apparently, the proper way is "Wooster-sher".
Didn't matter though because nobody in Van knew wtf this stuff was.

'Lay and Purr-ins'?
"Is this a brand? What is it?"
"It's uh, called rooster sure sauce?"
"Huh? Wtf?!"
"You don't know what it is?"
"Can you speak English?"
"Well, fuck you then."

Just 'cause you could pronounce it.

Well, the gen Xers or whatever name the kids go by these days, would pronounce it "Heysh Bee" sauce. While we are at it, another one that really pisses me off is when someone say "axed" instead of "asked". I feel like axing them between the eyes.
