So Kapanen scores the same number of points, more goals, and he takes half the penalties as Kadri. Kapanen also hasn't screwed his own team over two years in a row with a selfish first round suspension.

Top that off with the thought that, for the next 5 years, Kadri will not advance higher on the depth chart than the #3 center spot. Kapanen has the chops to play on either Tavares' or Matthews' wing in the top-6

Kapanen's agent will be asking for $4.5M minimum, and if Tarrana is lucky he will sign a 2 year deal at $3.5M.

If Dubas is smart he gives Kapanen as close to $4M as he can for as long as he can, and then deals Kadri to make it up.
