this morning and he thinks it's great. Was pointing out how much money this will save in air travel alone....
I wouldn't want this to become a permanent thing.

It will not be as easy to collect points in the Canadian div. as it would likely be in our normal format yet it's those points that will or will not get

The Canadian division teams will play exclusively against each other, the 4 teams with the most points will make the playoffs.

4 of 7 teams is better odds than the 4 of 8 in the other divisions.

Last year they didn't finish the scheduled season, so they had play-ins (not "expanded playoffs").

There would be no reason to have play-ins this season after completing a scheduled season.
