Nothing like a poop story to get a new dood to post something here.
After being gone for a bit and not having time to post much, when I read this line, I actually scrolled back, thinking “a shit story HAS to be about Messier!”
… the disappointment is real.
That Messier shit story was in a bar in Alberta back in the day right?
Guy was an animal...
Which one? My sister slapped him in Edmonton once, and I talked to him in Saskatoon once.. both happened in a bar.
I'm referring to the 'Take a Massive Dump on the Table Because You Don't Like the Waitress' story.
lol.. that was Saskatoon.
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.

Apparently Aquilini had dinner with Mike Keenan recently.
He never got a chance to continue the good work he started.
Give the man a chance to bring it home.
Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is how to properly start a rumor!!
Mike Keenan is worse than Hitler.
I know that by mentioning Hitler first I auto-lose the debate (Godwin's Law).
But I don't care cuz dammit that asshole is worse than Hitler...
I dunno. How was Hitler at attacking the neutral zone trap? Add in forcing the team's into the showers, and I gotta say, I don't think Hitler would have been as good as Keenan.

Holy shit I mean Operation Barbarossa certainly isn't a ringing endorsement on the attacking side. I mean, sure, they broke the Maginot line but attacking the French would be like what I imagine the Canadiens felt like going into DC in the mid 70s.

I could listen to Burkie talk for hours telling stories. He had his faults, but I can't say I don't respect him. Sort of a common genius.

Mike Keenan was an excellent GM for the Canucks
I especially love the story of how Gino Odjick ripped the phone out of Mikes hands got up in his grill and threatened to beat the shit out of him in Mikes office.
