CC Random thread

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Well, there's a lot of diversity in Africa. Modern humans originated there, and then a few ventured out of Africa and populated the entire globe, so all of us non-Africans are basically first cousins while Africans have a much greater variety.

I think the Nilotic peoples, who include the Massai and Dinka, some of the tallest people on earth tend to be very beautiful. And great basketball players I assume. They are all legs and arms. Many South Sudanese women have become models, including this refugee girl who was born in Egypt to Sudanese parents and then ended up in New Hampshire. After someone snapped a photo of her during homecoming at Howard University and posted it online, she quickly became one of the best paid models in the industry.

This is the photo that went viral:

This type of African is very different from the ones in that other photo.

Maybe your dink prefers Dinka?

Researchers just unveiled an AI model called ECgMLP that identifies endometrial cancer with 99.26% accuracy from microscopic tissue images—drastically outperforming human specialists and current automated methods.

How does that work? Is the AI better at picking up the abnormalities?

Any good videos on explaining how it works?

Anyone bothered getting DNA testing? Always seemed a weird idea to me. Who really gives a fuck?

DNA testing company, 23 and Me, has gone bankrupt, now concerns are what will become of their database and user info.

Bet your insurance company would be interested.
