The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! Stephen King predicted Trump decades ago:

No surprise, really. I mean, he’s an expert on scary and dangerous clowns. :look:

https://www.foxnews.com/media/trump-abr ... -reporters

CBS World News Reporter Weijia Jiang: "You've said many times that the U.S. is doing far better than any other country when it comes to testing. ... Why does that matter? Why is this a global competition to you if everyday Americans are still losing their lives and we're still seeing more cases every day?"

US President Donald John Trump: "Well, they're losing their lives everywhere in the world. And maybe that's a question you should ask China," Trump told Jiang. "Don't ask me, ask China, okay? When you ask them, you may get a very unusual answer."

As the president attempted to move on to the next reporter, Jiang, who is Asian-American, pressed him on he was "saying that to me specifically," suggesting his comment was racially motivated.

US President Donald John Trump: "I'm telling you -- I'm not saying that specifically to anybody, I'm saying it to anybody who would ask a nasty question like that."

I am CBS World News Reporter Weijia Jiang, anyone who mentions China to me is a racist.

Image

But I'm sure the leftards will be twisting this into 'Some nobody reporter is a hero, she called "My orange hero" out on his obvious racism!'.

After all they MUST make Pedo Joe president so as to finally successfully move the movie "Idiocracy" into the non-fiction section.

Yeah...

As bad as that is, it pales in comparisson...
Donald Trump, current president of the United States, has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment, including non-consensual kissing or groping, by at least 23 women since the 1980s. The accusations have resulted in three much reported instances of litigation: his then-wife Ivana made a rape claim during their 1989 divorce litigation but later recanted that claim; businesswoman Jill Harth sued Trump in 1997 alleging breach of contract while also suing for nonviolent sexual harassment but withdrew the latter suit as part of a settlement for relating to the former suit; and, in 2017, former The Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos filed a defamation lawsuit after Trump called her a liar.
In October 2019, the book All the President's Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator, by Barry Levine and Monique El-Faizy was published, containing 43 additional allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump.

The Don is definitely in a league of his own.
Well... he and Bill Cosby. And Weinstein.

And that's not even bringing up his well known mob ties and other forms of criminal behaviour, like money laundering. :|

Or to put it this way;
The stuff Biden has done should be enough to bar him from public office.
The stuff Trump has done should be enough to land him in jail for a very long time.

Thankfully, in Sweden you cannot settle cases that involve criminal charges out of court.
Rich people in the USA tend to have a get out of jail card by throwing money at the victims.
This is detrimental to society, as the perps are allowed to wander free and cause more harm to new victims.
The Weinstein and Epstein cases seem to show that maybe this is changing. I hope it is.

Anyway, given the choice between the two less than perfect candidates, I prefer the one who is just mildly offensive.

Some 2000 former DOJ officials (from both parties) are calling for Barr to resign, following his decision to drop all charges against Flynn. A court case where Flynn has already guilty. :o

Obviously, Trump is not a great fan of rule-of-law, and Barr is just his sock puppet, but hadn’t it been more elegant to let the court do it’s job and then just pardon Flynn? I mean, that would still be a mockery of justice, but it would be within the rights of a US president and it would at least leave the impression that there is an independent judiciary, like the consitution says there should be.

What they did now is not worthy of a democracy. It’s a case of the executive branch over reaching and getting involved in matters that belong to the judiciary branch, trampling the whole concept of separation of power that is central to the American constitution. At least it is good to see that the country’s leading lawyers are furious.

As we go along here, keep in mind in the plea deal Flynn had to admit he lied to the prosecution, that was his 'sin'...

Yeahno, Flynn agreed to a plea bargain and then withdrew that plea bargain before the sentencing phase.

He did this because of the mounting evidence of corruption among the prosecution in this case.

The prosecution allegedly extorted a plea deal by threatening to railroad Flynn's son.

Also apparently the (corrupt?) prosecution had no right to question Flynn in the manner they did.

(they didn't advise him he was under investigation and had the right to counsel)

(they even went so far as to tell him he did not need council... and later denied him council)

There are also serious questions about the judge making mistakes...

It is a very complicated + unusual case, and I'm sure there are "thousands of lawyers" on each side of it.

Did you know the prosecution has requested this case be dropped

What does Trump have to do with any of this??

The court still is "doing it’s (sic) job"... it's still in their hands.

Per I'm disappointed, you used to check both sides of an issue before you gave us your two bits.

But these days you just seem to swallow and re-spew whatever MSN dishes out.

I blame Trump Derangement Syndrome for that and btw...

Did you know General Flynn is a lifelong hardcore Democrat

As soon as the hand written FBI notes prior to them interviewing Flynn, the interview where he admitted he lied, came out, the Feds had no case against him.

The FBI notes ask what is their goal in interviewing Flynn, get him to lie and get him fired or seek the truth.

That is entrapment.

Clearly Obama was using the DOJ as a personal political tool.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
