Long and short of it, the leaves should have saved millions of dollars, not signed Tavares, fired Babcock, traded Anderson and gone after Trotz and Lehner/Greiss?

Lmao, #4 dman, #6 dman, and #3 centre out is "tons of injuries"!

Oh but the Leaves were the first team in NHL history to ever play their backup in a back-to-back

... so yeah totally understandable that they got BLOWN THE FUCK OUT.

No. Not at all. They have the Jack Adams winner they added, plus they have .930% goaltending. They never had that when Tavares was there. surely you can't be suggesting they are better because Tavares left?

2017-18 Islanders

Jaroslav Halak 54 3024 161 3.19 20 26 6 1583 0.908 0 1
Christopher Gibson 8 427 26 3.65 2 3 2 258 0.908 0 0
Thomas Greiss 27 1492 95 3.82 13 8 2 784 0.892

2018-19 Islanders:
1 Robin Lehner 27 36 34 20 10 5 72 1043 971 .931 2.07 4 2086 21 .618 2 76 23.17 8.3
2 Thomas Greiss 33 32 30 17 10 2 66 913 847 .928 2.25 4 1757 20 .667 5 79 17.31 6.9

That+coaching is why they are far better. They didn't go from 31st in GA to 1st because of no Tavares. LOL
So Trotz and Lehner/Greiss is the reason why a non Tavares Islanders led team is miles better than a Tavares Islanders led team?

Lol, whatever helps you sleep at night, Tuna

LOL at denying facts.

That #3 C would not be so on any other team. Ranking DMen by usage only. Nice. Relity is Dermott is at worst #4 D in importance.

I can see them trying to move willie this summer after he predictably underperforms this playoffs then he finds his game once hes get out from under the Cock.

They should have traded him for another stud D-man. Now it’s going to be too difficult to trade him and his $7 million per. They will be forced to trade Kapanen whom I’d rather have than Nylander. They are too loaded heavily at forward and thin on D. Very lopsided. Marner, Kapanen and Nylander is redundant. Not too mention I think Nylander is highly overrated, too soft when it counts

Watch Dubas get GM of the year. Why? Cause TO has the league by the Knakkers.
Look at their overall schedule compared to ours..

He reminds of that young whipper snapper in Arizona, what’s his nuts. Look at all the dumbass Dubas moves he’s made. Not sure about the love affair Shanny has with Dubas. My thinking - non threatening. Shanny can influence him, not so much Mark Hunter or Lou Lamoriello. Speaking of Lou - he gets my vote for GM of the year. Look at the job he’s done in his first year with NYI. Spectacular. What a turnaround

So Benning is the runner up?

Pretty recently you nominated Ignitowski for GM of the year and said he’d likely peel off a few of those GM of the year plaques

Hey Buzzles remember how you always bring up 10 million William when getting mad at Benning for drafting $1.25 million Jake?

I’m just curious who your GM of the year is.

For the record Ritchie was my choice , not Nylander
